Wet Plate Collodion Image by Kerik Kouklis

For me at least, photography is about really seeing as opposed to rarely seeing! This is a status of being that one needs to attune themselves to. Seeing light is a wonderful thing, being able to capture it even more so! I am still learning how to achieve the end result of what I had envisioned at the start of this seeing, and sometimes feeling, process!

I really try not to be anal about the equipment and processes that I choose to use - although I know there will be a few wry smiles from those in the know. At present most work is done either with a 5x7 Canham, a Contax 645 or one of three pinhole cameras. Film is nearly always Ilford and most of it souped in home brewed Pyrocat HD. I am making headway with platinum and palladium printing and so some of my images will be shown using this process.
